General surgeon Brigid O’Holleran, MD, FACS, is accepting new patient referrals at Animas Health.
Dr. O’Holleran is already well known to many patients and healthcare professionals throughout Southwest Colorado. From 2017 to 2025, she practiced general and trauma surgery at Mercy Hospital, where she also served as Trauma Medical Director.
During her time at Mercy, she participated in hospital quality and peer review initiatives and helped train future physicians through the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s rural program.
Extensive Surgical Experience
Dr. O’Holleran earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Utah, receiving recognition for her work in surgical education, quality improvement, and trauma care.
Most recently, she served as Medical Director of The Breast Center at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. O’Holleran has contributed to peer-reviewed research and brings experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques.
