Our state-of-the-art technology delivers high-quality images that are read by board-certified radiologists, so you and your physician can make informed decisions without delay.

We offer same-day imaging appointments, as well as Saturday/Sunday availability. Your physician can schedule an appointment for you at (970) 385-2375, option 2. Emergency imaging is also available through our emergency department.

MRI

Our patient-friendly 1.5T short-tube MRI produces high-resolution images for advanced orthopedic imaging, including cartilage and meniscus evaluations.

CT Scan

Our 64-slice spiral CT scanner uses CAREDOSE technology to help reduce radiation exposure while delivering detailed, accurate images.

Ultrasound

Our ultrasound services support:

• Limited OB exams
• Pediatric imaging
• Biopsy guidance
• Abdominal, gynecologic, and vascular evaluations

X-ray & Fluoroscopy

• X-ray allows for quick diagnosis of fractures and other conditions.
• Fluoroscopic arthrograms capture real-time images of joint movement and are commonly used to evaluate pain or injury in the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, and wrist.

Preparing for Your Imaging Appointment

Please follow these general guidelines. Your physician may give you additional instructions based on your exam.

MRI Preparation

• Leave valuables at home.
• Wear comfortable clothing without zippers or metal.
• Do not wear jewelry (including body piercings, watches, hairpins, or other metallic objects).
• If you have difficulties with enclosed spaces, please discuss this with your physician in advance of your scheduled exam.
• Ask your care team if you will need a driver to take you home.

CT Preparation

• Wear comfortable clothing without zippers or metal.
• If your physician requires you to take an exam with contrast, check with diagnostic imaging at (970) 385-2375, option 2, for specific instructions.
• Some exams require lab work prior to imaging.

Accessing Your Images Online

Animas Surgical Hospital provides secure, convenient access to your medical images through Nuance PowerShare, a HIPAA-compliant image-sharing platform.

With PowerShare, patients and physicians can securely view and manage imaging studies anytime from an internet-connected device.
