Grant Gebhard, MD

Dr. Grant Gebhard is a Colorado native who provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages at Southwest Eye Consultants. He grew up in Denver and Grand Junction and completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, graduating cum laude with a degree in Italian and a minor in international development.

Dr. Gebhard earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, followed by his ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

During residency, Dr. Gebhard ranked in the top 6% nationwide on the Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP). His research experience includes studies on cataract surgery outcomes, glaucoma, and eye infections, reflecting his strong academic foundation and commitment to evidence-based care.

Dr. Gebhard offers a full range of ophthalmology services, including advanced cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), medical and laser glaucoma treatment, refractive corneal surgery, and oculoplastics. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gebhard enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and backpacking with his family. He is married with two daughters, enjoys music and language study, and speaks fluent Italian and Spanish.
