Brigid O’Holleran, MD, FACS, is a general surgeon at Animas Health in Durango, Colorado, bringing extensive experience in general, minimally invasive, robotic, and trauma surgery to patients throughout the Four Corners region.
Dr. O’Holleran earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Utah, where she received recognition for her work in surgical education, quality improvement, and trauma care.
A familiar face in the Durango medical community, Dr. O’Holleran previously practiced at Mercy Hospital from 2017 to 2025. During that time, she served as Trauma Medical Director, participated in hospital quality and peer review initiatives, and helped train future physicians as a rural program preceptor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Before joining Animas Health, Dr. O’Holleran served as Medical Director of The Breast Center at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Dr. O’Holleran is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She has contributed to peer-reviewed surgical research and has a longstanding interest in surgical education and quality improvement.
With a commitment to personalized, collaborative care, Dr. O’Holleran works closely with patients and referring providers to support informed treatment decisions and coordinated surgical care.
