Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as hematopathology, Dr. Virginia Burdine has practiced pathology in large urban tertiary care hospitals in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Denver, Colorado since 2002.
After earning her medical degree in 1994, Dr. Burdine also received a PhD in microbiology and immunology in 1997, both from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She completed her pathology residency at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs and a fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics in Madison.
In addition to practicing general anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Burdine has subspecialty expertise in blood and bone marrow diseases and transfusion medicine. She relocated with her family to Durango in 2017.
