Diagnostic Imaging
Animas Surgical Hospital provides state-of-the-art surgical and radiological health care with advanced imaging equipment:
- Digital diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopic procedures including pain management, shoulder & hip arthrograms.
- Advanced 6 slice Spiral CT with CAREDOSE technology to reduce radiation exposure.
- High Field 1.5 MRI, Short Bore, Advanced orthopedic protocols for cartilage and meniscus diagnoses.
- Siemens Antares Ultrasound studies that include level II and III OB exams, pediatric, biopsy guidance, abdominal, gynecologic and vascular.
Images are interpreted by our board certified radiologists and reported to your physician within 24 hours after scheduled appointments.
Routine Appointments
Many same-day imaging appointments are available for ultrasound, MRI, CT and x-ray. Your physician’s office may schedule the appointment for you by calling 970-385-2375 opt. 2.
Emergency Imaging Services
Emergency imaging is available through the Emergency Services Department.
What do I need to do to prepare for my imaging appointment?
MRI: These are general guidelines. Your physician may give you additional instructions
- Please leave valuables at home.
- Wear comfortable clothing without zippers or metal.
- Please do not wear jewelry, (including body piercings, watches, hairpins, or other metallic objects.)
- If you have difficulties with enclosed spaces, please discuss this with your physician in advance of your scheduled exam.
- Please ask us if you will need a driver to take you home.
CT: These are general guidelines. Your physician may give you additional instructions
- Wear comfortable clothing without zippers or metal.
- If your physician requires you to take an exam with contrast, please check with Diagnostic Imaging 970-385-2352 for specific instructions. Some exams require laboratory blood work before they can be performed.
