Visitor Information

At Animas Surgical Hospital, visitors can relax in the comfort of a spacious waiting area and enjoy complimentary refreshments or take a scenic walk on the Animas River Trail.

Visiting Hours

Patients are encouraged to have family /support persons with them during the many phases of their surgical experience. Regular visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. However arrangements for after-hours visitors are easily accommodated. Animas Surgical Hospital welcomes an overnight guest to stay with the patient.

Children

Children, accompanied by an adult, are allowed to visit.

Visitor Health

We ask that our visitors be aware of their own medical conditions when visiting our hospital. Visitors who have a fever, symptoms of colds, flu or any type of communicable disease should not visit the hospital until they are well.

Smoking Policy

Animas Surgical Hospital is a smoke-free facility. As a healthcare institution, we recognize the hazards of smoking and enforce a “no smoking policy” throughout the institution. We do not permit smoking inside or near any entrances to the hospital. For your health and the health of others, smoking is only permitted outside of the hospital in the designated smoking areas.

Snacks

For those who are waiting at the hospital, there are complimentary pastries, fruit, and coffee/tea/juices available in the lobby. In addition, Rivergate Pharmacy, located in the Rivergate Medical Office Building, offers breakfast burritos, sandwiches, salads, and other items for purchase.
